About
Lydia Kate Spitalny was born in Surrey, England in September 1983 and now divides her time between Palm Beach County, Florida, and Achill Island, County Mayo, Ireland, where her studios sit near the ocean, a source of endless inspiration. A self-taught, multidisciplinary artist, Lydia’s work is defined by bold, impressionistic brushwork and emotionally charged color palettes. Her paintings blend the raw abstraction of Picasso-like forms with the expressive power of emotion, creating a visual language that tells stories of strength, vulnerability, and the beauty found in imperfection. Her art has been exhibited in both private and public galleries across the United States, France, and England, and her works are held in collections worldwide. Deeply passionate about community and connection, Lydia uses her art to give back whether through charitable contributions or through the stories she paints.
